Hello everybody! I wanted to do a short little post about my new favorite obsession: Planners! If you’re my friend on Facebook and/or Instagram (if not, you should TOTALLY follow me!!) you’ve seen a few pictures that I’ve put up of my weekly decorated planners. I use the Erin Condren planner (www.erincondren.com) which I absolutely love. I also use a variety of stickers, pens, markers, washi tapes, etc to decorate each week.
Here is this week’s spread.
And a closer look at the first half of the week:
I’ve received a lot of questions about “planning” and how to get started. If you take a closer look at the pictures you’ll see that the glitter red strip, white glitter strip and turquoise diagonal stripe are washi tape (which is just a type of Japanese decorative tape that you can find at any craft store). I’ve also used as assortment of stickers that I’ve purchased from online Etsy shops (linked below). A lot of these shops offer kits to help you with your weekly planning creativity.
Here’s a list of some of my favorite sticker shops on Etsy and elsewhere:
- Planner Sticker Jubilo
- I really love the quality of these stickers and they ship super fast
- Two Krafty Chicks
- This shop has a large selection and the quality is really good. The only con is that they are a little on the slow side for shipping, but they’re totally transparent and up front about their policies.
- Krissy Anne Designs
- Ok – here’s the low down. I’ve never actually purchased any of her stickers yet. I have an order on the way from her Buy/Sell/Trade Facebook group (and I can post an update once I receive those). She has these amazing binders that she puts out for order several times a year and I’m just waiting for the next restock. She is working on becoming a ready-to-ship shop but that will likely be next year. From what I’ve seen on her website and Facebook page, she has amazing customer service and quality stickers. I’m looking forward to my purchase. *Side note: She just had an amazing Black Friday deal where you would get a $5 credit for every $20 in gift cards purchased. You KNOW I got in on that!!*
- Xo.Mama Plans
- Here’s another one that I haven’t actually used yet, but her quality and weekly kits look amazing. She’s currently on vacation so her shop isn’t open – but once it does I’ll be an ordering fool!
Here are a few more pictures of weekly layouts that I’ve created.
In an upcoming post, I’ll talk about the different types of pens that I use for my planner (be warned – there are a LOT!!)
(I have to give a shout out to Jennifer at My Purpley Life. I stumbled across her blog and her beautiful planners is what fueled my obsession for this craft!)
Until next time.
